The joy of being a middle-aged man!

Happy New Year 2019 from Pierini Fitness, I’m back!  Yes, I’ve been gone for a long time.  How long?  I count 435 days but please check my math because I’m known not to be good with numbers.

But, I’m back and it feels good!

It’s not that I wasn’t writing during my absence, I was but writing other stuff, more work-related.  And, I finally got my second book out, His Sky Is Always Blue Over Yonder.  It’s available at Amazon.com in both paperback and Kindle versions.

I feel bad, sort of, that I neglected my dear old Pierini Fitness blog and its chronicling of living my life in the middle-aged man fast lane driving down the cyberspace superhighway in my search for fitness, health and wellness.  And, expressing my unique, and sometimes rough around the edges, middle-aged man reflections about living and dying, gracefully-aging and trying my best to live a good and honest life.

I wonder if one day when an old man sitting in a rocking chair crapping my pants and watching the world go by of what time remaining I have on planet earth if the void I’ve created due to my Pierini Fitness blog absence will hit me like a heavy sack of bricks over my middle-aged man meathead, causing me to grieve and mourn of the person I didn’t get to know during the tail end of my 62nd year of life and most of my 63rd year of life.  Time will tell.

But, I’m back and it feels good!  Have you heard that before?

So, what are my plans moving forward?

To deliver more of the same, hopefully better expressed than in the over 1,000 blog postings here at Pierini Fitness over the past ten years.

What will be my frequency?  Time will tell but as of right now I’m imagining twice a week and hopefully more.

I’d like to include more of my training workouts which as of late have included kettlebell training, pullups, some running and walking.  I’ve become a fan of the walk routine of the 30-minute and 60-minute variety.  I believe it does a middle-aged man’s body much good.  The down side is, it’s time consuming compared to, say, running or an intense kettlebell workout.  I’ll have more to say about my training down the road, including a 64th birthday kettlebell/burpees workout I’ve created to be officially tested here on my birthday in 50 days.

But, I’m back and it feels good!  OK, I promise I’m done with this stutter.

Stay tuned here at Pierini Fitness for the best reflections that will help you and me cultivate the joy of being a middle-aged man!

Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum

Happy New Year 2019 John and thanks for your welcome back. Sorry for my belated acknowledgement. I need to remember to check comments awaiting moderation. My blogging is a little rusty.

Hope to have some good content including workout videos in the near future. Thanks for visiting Pierini Fitness; enjoy your day.
