See you next May Day

I’ve always wondered what was May Day so I looked it up over the weekend.   A verbatim from Wikipedia is as follows:

May Day is a public holiday usually celebrated on May 1. It is an ancient northern hemisphere spring festival.  It is also a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the celebrations that the day includes.

In the late 19th century, May Day was chosen as the date for International Workers' Day by the Socialists and Communists of the Second International to commemorate the Haymarket affair in ChicagoInternational Workers' Day may also be referred to as "May Day", but it is a different celebration from the traditional May Day.”

What was my weekend interest in May Day?

A realization that I’m just too darn busy with the analytical side of my brain overpowering my creative side.  I have been struggling lately in writing my middle-aged man reflections and this struggle will continue for the next couple of weeks.  Afterwards, there’s a good chance I’ll take some time off to reacquaint myself with normal life.

So, in less than a month, I’ll see you next May Day.

Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum
